Founded in 2000, and now part of the NTT Group of Companies, Atlas Information Technology specializes in the Design, Configuration, and Management of complex IT infrastructures. In this way, Atlas offers its clients the possibility to externalize the full-management of their IT Platforms rather than hiring in-house system administrators. Atlas leverages its scale and expertise to offer its clients a higher quality service at a much lower cost than this in-house alternative.

Atlas offers these services for a wide-range of applications. It is specialized both in platforms that offer services and information through the Internet as well as servers used internally by its clients. Clients contract Atlas to manage these platforms when their availability, security, responsiveness, and scalability are of critical or strategic importance to their organizations. Typical situations where Atlas offers these services include:

Complex platforms comprised of web, application, middleware, and database servers
Remote Access and Virtual Desktop Solutions such as XenApp, Citrix Metaframe and Terminal Server
Highly available configurations including data replication, clustered, and load-balanced servers.
Infrastructure to interconnect disparate networks (such as Firewalls and VPN
Servers) associated with connecting multiple locations and remote users.
ERP Platforms that publish information to the web (Navision / Oracle / SAP)
In-House Servers (Directory, File/Print and Email Servers) and their associated services

For each of the architectures that Atlas manages, it offers is clients the following services –

Design of an Architecture that meets client requirements
Migration of existing applications to a new platform
Full management of the platform including

Fulfilment of client requests
Resolution of service incidents
Proactive maintenance and tuning of the platform

As a result, the client need not occupy itself with any of the tasks associated with management of their platform. Atlas currently works with SMEs as well as multinational corporations in Spain, England, France and Germany. Its clients include traditional as well as technological companies such as FC Barcelona Futbol Club, AXA Group, the government of Catalonia, SONY, and Register.com.

To serve these customers – over 1.500 servers under management – Atlas has built a first-class technical team of 90 system administrators with significant experience and certifications in all the technologies that they manage.

Most importantly, Atlas limits the service it offers its clients exclusively to remotely managing their infrastructure. Delivering a superior service along this dimension is its only focus. As such, it continually invests in new technologies and in improving its processes to ensure that it remains a leader in management of complex it infrastructures.
